Hi !
I have this error when i try to install some apps "Couldn't install on USB Storage or SD card"
i found that i have to delete some file, however when i plug my phone to my PC i am able only to browse my SD data, not the internal phone memory. And i dont have this file on my sd card..I downloaded Astro to browse my memory, and i finally could.. however when i try to access 'secure' folder it gives Access Denied message :(
i dont want to reset my phone or root it or some other things, i want just to delete this file.Is there some way to browse the internal memory on my PC ?
My andriod version is 2.2.2

Hi - having same issue since 4.1.2 - Verizon 9.8.20-72 update. I have a rooted Bionic. The OTA update installed 4.1.2 then SuperUser re-rooted phone just fine. I would suspect the Root but some apps will update fine but others attempt to install but end up with above error. Some new apps will also install. I also run Titanium Backup and have defrosted all Google Play -related programs but no apparent difference. Some old posts ~ 2011 say to look for and delete file
smdl2tmp1.asec but it is not to be found with Root Explorer, Astro, or FX. Some others also suggest unmounting SD card, installing app, then re-mounting card but that didn't work either. Additionally I've uninstalled a problem app completely then attempted to -reinstall from Play with no success but Could Re-install from backup on SD card. ????
I also tried a new SD card but copied files from old and had no change to problem. Before I try wiping card and attempting to re-load everything I hope someone else might have found out where the glitch is?
Thank you in advance!

Is this just a problem with installing apps to sd? I ask because you're running JellyBean, which doesn't support that.

You'd probably do better asking in your device's forum, because this is a much older device and the last official update was to gingerbread, so there's not the experience you need here.
