Help Couple issues - missing apps, awake time, mounting error.

For starters, I love this phone...it's my new best friend. I haven't put it down for three days and along the journey I've found a couple chinks in the armor.

First, my Up Time/Awake Time doesn't reset when I power down. On my Incredible, both would reset once I turned the phone off. Not happening on my Rezound. For instance, I powered up my phone and Battery Usage says 19m 12s, which is accurate. Up Time says 43:04 and Awake Time says 24:34 even though I powered down last night (before charging) and just powered up this morning.

Second, I've noticed there is no "Call History" or dedicated "Camcorder" app like on my Incredible. You have to access call history through the phone and the camcorder through the camera. I prefered the dedicated apps/shortcuts...is it possible to download these?

Third, I am getting an error every time I mount my phone as a disc drive. Windows is giving me the following message -
Do you want to Scan and Fix Removable Disc (F: )?
There might be a problem on this device or disc. This can happen if you remove the device or disc before all files have been written to it.
Then I'm provided two options:
Scan & Fix
Continue without scanning
This occured the first time I plugged in the phone, not after I tried to save to it. It doesn't seem to affect anything, i just click continue and everything seems fine. Should I choose "Scan & Fix"?

Last, my battery door doesn't seem to fit perfectly and is a little creaky along the bottom part where you stick your nail in to open it. Verizon is already sending me a new back...

Anybody else? Other than the battery door, none of these are dealbreakers. The back of my Incredible never fit perfectly and it drove my nuts. Hopefully the new back solves the issue.

Still...best phone ever...

I think this is an issue with Gingerbread. I noticed my wife's Incredible 2 started doing it right after the update. I agree with you, I like it when it is accurate (as it was with my incredible also). I hope someone will chime in with a solution to this...

Do you guys have 'fast boot' on still? I would think that is why those numbers aren't resetting

you dont need to 'scan and fix' not doing it will not hurt anything. that is usually because of not unmounting correctly when removing some sort of drive from a computer

I hope it is the SD card and not the internal storage ;)

I would the SD card put in a PC card reader, copy the content, format the SD and paste the content back to SD.

Having fastboot on is the issue. When you use fastboot the phone doesn't fully shut off. I remember on my Incredible I used it for about a week because I liked the phone turning on very quickly, but then noticed that it negatively impacted the general performance of the phone due to never fully shutting down. Turning that off should force the stats to reset each time you turn off the phone.

Actually, there are apps for call history and phone dialer. However, they only seem to show under third-party launchers like golauncher or launcherpro. Maybe its because the sense launcher has that big phone button on dock of the home screen, which gives quick access to the dialer and call history. Still, I do find it a bit strange that the app drawer doesn't even give you an option to add a shortcut to call history or dialer.

The incorrect information on up time doesn't really bother me. I think battery information in general is pretty wonky on GB (except actual app uasge and percentage data). It was with my DX and D3 as well.

As for the scan and fix error. This seems more dependent on the machine you're connecting your phone to. My work PC never gives me this error, but my home PC does every now and then. You can simply ignore it, dismiss it, or go ahead and scan and fix. I've done it and it's never messed up any of the files on the sd card. Perhaps it's due to not have the most up to date drivers? Just a theory. Btw, this problem is not unique to the rezound. Also happened with both my DX and D3.

Also, my back cover fits like a glove, no creaks. Just a tight solid fit. I bet your new back cover will as well.
