Help Couple issues

I am having a couple issues, one is recent and one has been with my phone since I had it.

First one, I just noticed this last week. It is an audio related issue, I only get full audio from headphones if it is charging.. When it is charging and i have headphones in, it makes a whining noise, which I'm sure is just interference from the charger. And when I don't have it charging and have headphones in what I hear is like only one side of the song, only half the balance if that makes sense to you..

thats the first thing, any ideas? anyone else seen this issue?

Second issue, I have been dealing with this for sometime now and guess I'm getting to the point where I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this and if theres any fixes for it.. Occasionally (usually at night or in the morning) the touch screen is just messed up, I'll be typing on my keyboard (i use swype) and it will out of no where press the call button when I'm texting and then in some instances the screen stopped responding so I couldn't just hangup right away.. and then while I'm typing it will randomly hit send even though my finger is no where near the send button.

This one has been getting more and more annoying so curious if anyone else has had this or know something I could do.

Thanks all that try and help :)

Don't know about the second one. If it happens a lot it might be hardware related. You could try clearing data for swype and see if it helps.

As for the first, try to look inside your headphone jack for any pieces of lint or anything. Numerous users have reported similar issues with their headphone jack, and what they did was take a tooth pick and gently dig out whatever is inside and it fixed the problems. You can try that

I checked that, wasn't the issue so I decided to rebooted it and headphones worked.. until I plugged it in to a charger and then unplugged the charger again.. it then went back to what it was doing.

The first issue isn't only on swype, though it is where I notice it most.

but thanks for your advice in looking in the headphone jack

I would do a factory reset. If that doesn't fix both issues, I would call Verizon and have them send you a replacement.

Are you using the OEM Razr charger or another one? People have been having funny issues when using non OEM (ie, MOTOROLA) branded chargers.

I've never had an issue with mine. I use some unknown brand car charger that I got from Costco for free with my Droid x and I listen to music in my car with no problems and at home i use my nexus charger and that works great also.

well it charges and its worked fine up until I just noticed it last week or two weeks ago. I have been using the same car charger ever since I got the phone, the one at work is the one that came with it the one at home is another motorola charger. My car charger is the same as it always has been, I'm just confused.

I guess I will do a factory reset and see if it yields any results. But first could someone please tell me how to do so haha, never done it with this phone and my other Adroid devices all have cwm on them
