Help Couple of phone questions/issues

My connection is spotty, so I can't take the time to do a search for help..But I have two issues..One, is I have an extended battery and it doesn't seem to charge very well anymore and or it drains more quickly then usual..Does that mean the battery is going bad!? Also yahoo maps seems to be frequently dropping the gps signal or rebooting my phone!? Anyone else have that issue? And fixes? And my signal seems to be weaker then usual!?

Also, What rom's are available or would you guys recommend that run Ice cream or jelly bean!? I haven't been on here in a long while and don't know which ones are the newest...

Im sorry, I just figured since my phone is rooted and I was asking about newer mods that It belonged in the root section...Sorry again..

And hey, How can I tell what radio file I'm using and which one seems to work best? I'm stuck in an area where I should have decent signal, But Half the time I have no service at all! Any suggestions?
