hi people, i just got my new sgs3 on friday and so far am very impressed with it but i have a couple of questions.
1 - is there a way to put the flight mode switch on the drop down notification tab instead of things like driving mode.
2 - is there a way using the stock home launcher to (touchwiz) to hide an apps name. i know i can do this with another launcher, i used to do it with adw on my sony but im happy to leave it as it is for a while before i start messing about with my phone lol

thanks for any help

I also am interested in #1 and #2.

i used switchpro with my sony but they are already there on the notification so it would be good to be able to change them. i use flight mode quite a lot

Something relevant. If you want to save some time in switching on the flight mode you can just hold the power button for a few seconds and a few options will come up (switch off , restart etc). Amongst them is flight mode so you dont have to go into settings

Very true.

If you feel so inclined you could also try out an app called Elixir 2 (has a widgets plugin) this let's you add toggle buttons to your notification area (as an ongoing status) or a vertical/horizontal widget on your home screen for a whole bunch of things ;)

Ton Answer #1 I don't know yet however for #2 yes all you have to do is disable the app if you don't want to see it in your app drawer.

I don't want to disable the app, I want to use it on the homescreen its just that I like just having the app picture not the name under it. will try and post a pic if I can remember how to lol

Launcher pro will do this for you and I imagine most other alternative launchers, apex, nova, go launcher etc.

I know about other launchers( I used adw ex on my Sony) I just wondered if there was any way to do using Samsung launcher
