Root couple rom questions

Hey people

Just need some help with some things about romming. I'm going to install cyagean (or however u spell it) I just want to be clear on my steps.

I downgraded and rooted using acehack so far.

It seems now like I have temp root. So do I now perm root with clockwork mod?

Then I assume I flash on the Rom I downloaded? What used to flash? Acehack?

If there's a full walk through that would be good.

If you used the Ace Hack Kit to root your phone, it would now be completely rooted. The Hack Kit will also have put ClockworkMod (which is a custom recovery) on your phone... this is used to flash custom ROM's, such as CyanogenMod 7 (CM7).
