Help Couple things I can't figure out

I have searched all over and can't find a fix for either problem.
I just got this phone and noticed it is on 4.0.4 but when I try to update it errors and says "Error occurred during download, out of memory".

Problem two is I can not get my contact pictures to show up in the phone and messaging. I get the generic silhouette, but that is it. When I look in contacts I get all my contacts show up with their facebook pictures, but when I get a call even though it gives me the callers name, no picture. Same with texts.

Can anyone offer any insight?

OK I got the update done by plugging into my computer and using the Verizon update tool.

Had the 3G Commando for 2+ yrs and photos and names always appeared in texts and incoming calls. Just got the 4G LTE and have the same problem.
