Android needs to come out with an app that allows you to use your phone as a Cps clicker. Theses are used a lot in many schools and universities and students have to buy clicker devices to participate in class and if there was an app for smart phones it would be used big time. the cps units operate using radio frequencies and each student has a clicker and puts in there answer and the teacher receives the students answers and puts it into a program to record them. The htc evo allows you to get fm radio so i would think it would be easy to make an app for this. even if you would have to plug in an antenna to the headphone jack, it would be nice to have.
as a side note another app would be nice is one that receives all the signals from clickers and puts them into something simple like a bar graph or pie chart. The clickers are often used to do in class quizes. If the you had such an app, you would be able to see what the majority of others are chosing as thier answers and you too could pick that answer. It would be like on "who wants to be a millionare?" when they use their ask the audience lifeline. It displays each choice and how many people choose it.
I myself am a beginning programmer and do not have the resources yet to make these apps. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.
Thanks
