Root CPU Governor and Frequency

Hi everybody,

I'm wondering what CPU Governor and frequency configurations other Awe users are working with, and how battery life and performance is. I use L Awe, stock kernel, and have been experimenting with some settings in order to improve battery life, though have not had much success.

Thanks in advance for any response.

Hey, thanks for your response to my query. I've seen your posts throughout this forum, and it seems as though you help out a lot of Awe users. Are you still on the Awe or have you moved on to Warp as some have mentioned? It seems activity has been slowly winding down here.

In regard to flashing the overclock kernel, is back up and full wipe, including Dalvik cache best practice?

Thanks.
Get the oc kernal then get autior tuner mess around with the CPU if u need more help pm me I can send u screen shots on what I had my awe set at had good bench marks

What kind of battery life improvement will this kernel give?

If I don't want to flash this kernel, what governor would y'all recommend?

I'm on 4.4.4 cyan11 rom, does LAwe give better battery life?

I've been using Intellidemand 162/1026 MHz for a little while. This Governor seems to be the best balance of performance:longevity.
I did a battery recalibration after flashing the kernel (I'm using the latest stable - non-beta Linaro kernel) so I don't have a solid gauge on battery life yet. The first day, I got about 20 hours, but this was an exceptionally light duty day, and phone was in AP mode for the majority of the time.
Road Kill (above) mentioned that he or she has done a fair amount of experimenting with CPU configurations and had some detailed recommended parameters.
Additionally, exercise caution in changing IO Scheduler settings, and make sure to back up any important data on your SD card when changing system settings. I had an issue with data lost when modifying IO settings recently.

Additionally, while I haven't done any formal beach market, I think that battery life was more or less comparable on the KitKat roms I have used. This is relative, I think, to your CPU settings, usage, and installed applications.
Let us know how things go and what settings work well for you.
