Root CPU settings and battery consumption

After owning an android phone since the desire came out and having trouble with the battery life again and again, having followed all the tutorials on how to increase the battery I finally come to the conclusion that the only best way is to set the cpu.

Yesterday I installed a rom and got about 6 hours battery life out of it (from 100 to 35). I changed the cpu settings and now after 17 hours still have 45% left. I still used the phone as usual, listen to music for a couple of hours surf the net for a few mins, made calls lasting around 30 mins to me this is fantastic. The rom I used was rcmix3d 3.3.

Want a noticeable increase in battery life? Change your cpu settings...

So what setting did you run to get such an improvement?

Just rooting and installing the same rom as you have got me going from struggling to make the battery last a day to now being able to get about 48 hours (100%-1%) out of it. I have heard good things about changing the cpu settings but since I'm happy now then no need to mess with more than I need to.

I would be interested to know what CPU settings u used

i am assuming that you set it right down low to get that amount of time?
