Cracked screen

I took my ft3 on a plane trip and cracked it while pulling it out of my laptop case. It was a tight squeeze. My kung foo grip got the better of me this time. I emailed the manufacturer (Diglex) and they are super friendly and asked me if I wanted them to send me a new screen or send mine to them for repair.

I can't believe they didn't mention a cost and possibly they will before it is all said and done. I just can't figure out how to take mine apart. I see no intentions around the sides of it that would indicate screws being covered. I can't even see where two pieces of plastic are meeting except for where the screen meets the chassis. When I run my fingernail over the ridge it just seems like molded plastic with no seam.

What are the odds the screen just pops out? I asked them if they can explain how to open it and I would be happy to do it myself. I'm kinda curious to look inside anyhow.

Take a look over here at dart's comprehensive guide to opening the FlyTouch III; extreme care is required as ut us easy to break the cables if you deviate from the instructions or have the dexterity of a gorilla...

I sweat mine doesn't have those plugs. I wonder if it like the face pad. Are there any tutorial for that?

I've not seen one....I think someone did say they had tried to open their facepad and had ending up cracking the screen so if you do have a go do it very carefully and take pictures!!!

If there are no screws then it will just be clipped together, I think I would approach opening it in the same way as the FT3 (guitar plectrum & carefully trying to release the clips) Do not pull the screen away from the back, once the plastic clips have been released it should just fall open

Hopefully they respond answering my questions. You never know. They may tell me how to open it. We have plenty of guitar pics.

If I do open it, will be happy to take photos.
