Crappy phone screwed up, probably by misuse of canta

I tried to help somebody with a cheap Cricket phone. I used shizuku and canta to get rid of some things. Now the apps don't show on the main screen, even after rebooting, and the junk that I deleted has returned. How do I fix this mess?

I backed it up to goo. I hope that means it's safe to do a factory reset. I don't see any other option.

It's stuck in a bootloop. It goes to the end of the sequence and then stops. I don't know how to do those other things if it doesn't show the main screen.

what phone is it? bootloops are not a good sign and not very easy to fix. if the phone can get into recovery mode then there might be a chance to fix it.

It's Cricket crap, a Debut S3, I think. I'm pretty certain canta removed the wrong thing and thus caused this. For a cheap phone it sure was expensive, more than $100.

Wonder of wonders, the thing somehow reset itself. It seems to be working ok. I guess we were lucky this time.
