Help Crash during 4.4 Update, now stuck in Bootloop

Hi!

I got a message calling for the KitKat-Update. Didn't think much and just accepted, let it run for a bit. The tablet shut down, and started updating. After a while, there was an error that it was unsuccessful (sorry, don't remember the exact wording). Nothing else was going on, so I restarted the tablet. Now it is just stuck for ever on what I'm guessing is a startup screen. I looks like a few colored blobs dancing around in the center of the screen. Looks like a bootloop to me...

I'm guessing this is not part of the update-procedure?

I don't want to wipe all my data if I can somehow avoid it as I still have non-backuped files on there.

Any suggestions? =(

Thanks!

PS: My tablet's bootloader is unlocked, but it's not rooted.

The colored blobs are the new start up screen, they can take a while the first time to boot up but it should eventually go to a screen showing optimizing apps then boot fully to the launcher............

I was rooted got the OTA update got stuck in a bootloop tried to do a system reset and I was still stuck on bootloop . Had to contact Google they are giving me a replacement.

Thanks
I had it running all night, still on the blob screen. Also, I cannot access the device from (linux) terminal. Even a factory reset did nothing. Bringing it back today...

Gonna try adb sideload later.... may do the softbrick fix with wugfresh kit. anyone know if that will wipe my tablet?

same here... 4.4 update now im stuck on the 4 blob screen.

I accepted the update also. Not sure I know about the blob screen, but once my boots I end up with the little green android robot laying down on his side, stomach open with something (dont recall here) coming out and the words error. system reset didnt help. I didnt want to to factory reset either, not yet. was thinking about connecting up to wugfresh as that is how I rooted, but not sure if it will help.

was actually hoping to find some solutions online today.
