Root Crashes Freezes and other joy

My Desire has been acting weirdly for the last couple of weeks. It intermittently freezes and then is fine ten seconds later or it just keeps randomnly freezing. When I text the screen just zooms around and goes back to the first text in the texting conversation. It wont power off (freezes again) and the screen lock wont unlock.

Please help!
 
Rooted or.not, from the build number, I don't think so but best be clear as were in the root forum
