CRAZY Question... How Difficult to Switch Operating System?

.
Question: How possible is it to switch an operating system? In other words... Is it possible to take a Driod Razr Maxx and load Mac or MS operating system on the phone? Is it possible? Potential problems? Strengths?

Say... if someone had to use a non-Andriod OS for business reasons but REALLY wanted to use a MAXX device?

.

Not going to happen today.

maxx/razr has some stated encryption bonuses, aren't these good enough?

I'm guessing maybe your email, your IT nazi's won't allow you to connect.... could be wrong though :D

No... the big issue is with Outlook Contacts... Android keeps combining multiple similar contacts into one contact--it is a nightmare! I have over 3K contacts. My original Contacts on Outlook (on my laptop) do not get altered... but what I have avaiable on my device is not accurate. I was hoping that something native to MS would solve the problems.

I thought for sure that I could figure out a way to put the newer MS operating system onto it?

what are you using to sync? I sync with gcal and some other freeware tool for contacts to sync to google, then from google to my phone.

If you are syncing outlook to phone, you need to have a conversation with the company that produced your software, or update your directional settings, or maybe not.

Or sim card contacts on phone, new phone syncing 3way, you will have that problem. Backup and delete one, then sync how you are trying to sync. Again, will defer to the software company that you are using.

I think we are getting closer to what you are actually asking here!

I am using whatever was stock on the MAXX... how do I find what my MAXX is using? I know it is not activesync... that was my last device (which was seamless btw).

I use Outlook 2010 on all my computers and sync them all together by using an online Exchange Server (2010)... thru SherWeb.

Thank you for your patience... I am currently my own IT guy! LOL.

sherweb. Never heard of it. I'd investigate that.

Now from changing os on the phone to this thing.... ugh. Just sayin'
