Create and edit Open/LibreOffice spreadsheets

[bhavbhuti]

Hi all

I am an Libre/OpenOffice user and my files, esp. spreadsheet, I need to create and edit on the Android phone. Is this possible.

Presently on my windows mobile phone it creates an xlsx file which I can edit on the phone as well as the PC and then synced.

Please advise

Thanks and regards

Just download and install an Office app for Android. Note that these apps are not free, or you can get a phone which has an Office App built in, like the higher end Samsung and HTC phones.

Thanks for the quick reply ChanChan05. I was leaning towards an HTC phone anyway, could you suggest one that has such a feature of editing and creating office documents?

Kind regards

ALL HTC Androids have that feature, the only difference is if it is preinstalled, or you have to buy it separately from the Market.

save the files in Office supported format like .doc not .odt .
Libre Office Android should be released in early Dec 2012/Jan 2013 btw
You can read those files however

Read the related article, bit long in coming and that too on the Tablet first, but let's see how things go.
