Create Shortcut?

JeffP

Newbie
With my previous phone, I had the ability to place a file ( audio , video, text document) on my home page, which I could double click and would open in it's default program.
How can I create the same setup?.

I'm unable to create a personal shortcut that isn't an existing app.

thanks for any help

Jeff

You can do it if you have a program like ES File Explorer.

Navigate to the file you want to create a shortcut for and long press it. ES will provide you with several options, just scroll down till you see shortcut and select it.

It will work with documents, audio and video.

That is something that sold explorer doesn't do!

Did you mean solid explorer? If so try this:

1. Long press the screen where ever u want the shortcut.

2. Select shortcuts

3. Scroll down and select solid explorer

4. Once solid explorer opens up, long press the folder or file u want a shortcut to and create shortcut will appear in the context menu.
