Help Creating a directory on the ereader apps on the phone

Ok so i need help creating a directory on my sd card for laputa book reader or any book reader for that matter that i use..I want to do this so that i can load my own books on to there and read them that i already have...How do i do this and where do i do this..If someone could explain this to me i would really really appreciate it!!!

* Also does anyone know the name of a program i could download that could convert adobe reader text and pdf files to epub i think it is to put the books in that format....Thanks!!

I don't know how Laputa works so I can't help you with that part. However, the best (imo) converter available is calibre - E-book management
