Creating App. Taking Ideas.

M1DN!GHT

So my boyfriend and I are creating an app, we have a lot of will power but no ideas.
We keep drawing up a blank when we try to think of something,
So we are turning to the people and asking..
What are some ideas YOU would want in an app?
But keep it simple because we're not professionals at this, just yet. :D

My boyfriend's thinks he's ready to take it up a notch, since yesterday he figured out how to root 2.2.1 on LG Vortex using nothing but the SDK.
He wants to get his hands dirty with android, and we've downloaded software but like I said earlier we have no ideas.

So input welcome and ideas are greatly appreciated.

I suspect that you are not going to get a lot of ideas. There are enough apps on the market to solve almost everything single problem. If you want to be successful, you are going to find a problem that no one even realises exists.

Here's a random thought. We already have apps that play music according to your mood, but what about an app that plays music according to the weather?

I really want to have these things on my phone.

1) An app that is able to control the notification LED light. I'd love to have it to keep blinking all the time like a blackberry so that i will be able to locate the phone in dark room.

2) An application to hide an entire folder. Hiding file by file is simply not enough for me.

And sorry if there is any available app already solve these needs. I'm new to the os

I know this really isnt possible because they would need some type of infrared laser thing or something but I always thought a motion detector app or some sort would be cool. Like where you could set it up on your night stand or across a doorway and if anyone crossed the "line" it would set off a alarm.

Sometimes some problem are unique to your country/culture and so those Android apps in the market may not cater to your specific needs. This is when country/culture specific apps came into the picture.

It is like in many organizations, they employ in-house developers cuz they have very customized in-house business logic that is best done by their own developers rather than turn to off-the-shelf products which provide generic solutions but fail at specific solutions which very often require high cost if outsourced constantly.
