Creating Playlist Port to Phone?

So since i hadn't realized I'd actually had an account at the time I posted my post:

I purchased my Samsung Galaxy S4 ( Verizon), (running 4.2.2) on 'Gray Thursday/Black Friday special'

Anyway I am looking to use the standard music player (though if anyone has suggestions- that do not include the sadly not 'defunct' Winamp- would have been my go to choice.)

On a Way to do a playlist (on my computer) and port it to my phone. I'd like to be able to keep the folders intact and make them playlists (I have a lot of music from Anime, so the CDs are broken down sometimes, but I'd like to make the content 'playlisted' and not necessarily by album.

I really just need a music player that will work computer-> Phone, and will allow me to create playlists easily at my computer without needing to do anything 'phoneside'.

I use Media Monkey on my computer but I don't think the android App is good (besides you need to PAY for it to be of any 'use'.

Should I go with Winamp- which will no longer be updated after Dec. 20?
Anyone have suggestions?

Someone Suggested Google Play MUsic -- but I don't know..

Hello and welcome to the forums. You can sync the music to the phone from your computer or do this from the computer sd card adapter . But it should be able to play Google music, win amp, jetaudio .

The only problem I'd have is that I'd like to do it my computer and transfer it easily to the Phone- I admit winamp will probably work, but with it being shutdown in a few weeks its not quite worth it if I know it won't officially exist any more.

But what the opinion on Google Music?

Google music is very good. I have uploaded to the Google Play Cloud and it streams my music greatly. Not sure about how your play list work though you may just have to create new ones for the cloud that you can use up to ten different devices to listen to.

I also wanted to build Playlists, though and not have it be on my phone.

1. Create playlist on iTunes.
2. Right click on the playlist and select export...
3. Save playlist as "Choose name here" and format as m3u
4. After you have added music to phone as the xxxx.m3u to the same folder where you have music and you have yourself a playlist.

*done on mac but it should be same process on XP/7/8..
