creating private files and folders

Hello,
I want to make dynamic files file in my app. For this I want to create different folders for storing files of different categories dynamically. For this i'm using path data/data/package_name/folder_name/file_name. It create is folders but not creating files.
Please tell me is this the correct way to make files inside folders. If it is wrong, what else can i do for this?

In order to create new file under new folder, folder must have been created first...then create new file ...HTH

Thanks for the reply Sam. I treied creating folder first and then adding the file. But its also not working.
