Help Crossed out i symbol

Just done a software update and now have a crossed out I symbol in the top left corner. I'm sure it's something obvious but I must be having a duh moment ! What is it and how do I get rid of it ?

I think it means your notifications are turned off

You have notifications turned off. You can turn them back on in the quick settings panel in the notification screen.
