which cruz tablet do you have? most from what i saw they can range from Android 2.0 to 4.0
if you want to run something higher then that then you will need to purchase a newer device. there is no development community for this tablet and thus there is no need to root it.

2.0 but there's no update.zip to put a better os on it.. such as 4.0... mine is T301... Surly there's some kind of update...

well where there's a will there's a way. the question is will. at the moment your device has no develoment community. the devs are usually the one who can find an exploit and root your device. once it is rooted then the devs can create custom roms. these roms can potentially contain newer android versions. however, there just aren't any right now working on your device......sorry
