Help Cryptic Symbols & Loss of Connectivity

Hi all,

Was hopeing one of you may be able to assist with some Tablet Issues that I have been experiencing. My device lost 3G Connectivity this morning and only resumed around 10AM, when it did however, this minus icon was present.

Any ideas what it is? What it means, and how to get rid of it?

it would help us to know what device you have and what is your carrier that your tablet is on?

not sure what the negative symbol is....never seen anything like that before.

do you know if your tablet was updated? like i said i never have seen that before.
