For a few months now i'm developing a contacts export application, you can find it at the market at:
https://market.android.com/details?id=dutchandroid.contacts.export
First off, it would be great to have feedback on the application. I'm curious if it works correctly on different phones, also how it looks on tablets, screenshots or photo's would be appreciated.
Feedback on the export file and the application on your pc would be great. I've tested it myself on a few outlook version, thunderbird and so on. But i can't really test them all out. It would be great to hear if it works on version i haven't mentioned on the market too.
The next version is going to have some more graphics and design, more formats supported of the less popular email clients. I also looking into building an import / merge function into the application but before release that i'm also looking for beta testers. Beta testers that don't mind if there is a chance that there contacts get messed up.
If you reply on the post and you have done a Export and then an import of the contacts in you mail client, please post the following information:
- Type of phone/tablet - ( example: Samsung Galaxy s2, HTC wildfire etc.. )
- Android version - ( example: 2.3.3 , 2.1 )
- Screen resolution of the phone or tablet, ( maby even a screenshot )
- Operating system PC - ( example: Windows XP SP1, Windows 7, Ubuntu xx)
- Email client - ( example: Outlook 2003, Thunderbird etc )
- Language
- if it works correctly or not, and what goes wrong.
Lastly , for some closed beta testing i'm looking for people with the following phone:
- samsung galaxy s2
- htc desire HD
- htc desire
- htc wildfire
- motorola defy
- htc droid eris
- htc evo 4g
- htc hero
- samsung galaxy ace
