Root Curiosity killed the cat

I've been running the Cyanogen mod for almost 2 weeks and it's been fab. Had no issues with it at all, and I've had stellar battery life. So glad I rooted.

I was running miksihifted exec for a long time. Switched to cm7 about two months ago, and I'm not looking back. Love the customization cm7 affords, and the simplicity.

I'm running Mikshift right now and the x99 kernel. I've been emini some reading and I've heard people getting excellent quadrant scores across the board with the trinity kernel. ANy chance this may be compatible with the shift?

I had my doubts about cm7. I did a lot of reading and people were having all sorts of problems i.e: GPS, web reflow, YouTube, etc. I sucked it up and flashed it anyway. Apparently the developers fixed these problems because so far I'm loving cm7. Super stable, fast, absolutely customizable up the a55hole, and they remove all the bloatware. Cant ask for more

Lol, I agree. The first time I flashed it, way back in the spring, it broke my phone. I lost GPS entirely, had issues with data connectivity, and a few other problems. I actually did a nandroid back to the stockish ROM I was running and couldn't get GPS to work. So I lived with it for a couple months. finally found a ROM that fixed it (I think it was mikshifted exec.) But the newest iteration of CM7 was working really well for me.

At least until today, when I got my new razr :-)

You got the razr? You gotta tell me how that is. I'm curious what motorola has to offer with that phone. I'm with sprint so we don't have it, but i like the phones they have to offer anyway. I'm just curious what the operating system is like on the razr

Clean, simple and fast. And when I say fast, I mean holy crap it's faster rendering pages than my laptop. It runs moto blur, which is a really simple Android ui, similar to CM7. The Amoled screen is fantastic. I can't say enough good about it so far.

I guess sprint really sucks in my area, because I can dl 5mb apps in about twenty seconds on VZW 3g. I was lucky to get 1 mb/minute on sprint 3g.
