Root Current most stable bug-free ROM?

Hi everyone. So my wife's DX has been giving her trouble for the past year. She was running Liberty 3 up until about 2 weeks ago when I flashed VXL on her phone to try and fix the issues. Here's the issues she's having: in the morning, her phone will wake from standby, but the screen is unresponsive. Takes a battery pull to get it working (happens on Liberty and VXL). This also happens sometimes during the day. Handscent SMS and Go Launcher apps update 2-3 times a day, every day (just started with VXL). Again and again. Sometimes her phone wont wake from standby at all (might be a hardware issue here).

So my wife's patience with phones is very short. She needs anger management definitely.

What's a good stable bug-free ROM I can flash on there to cut down on our therapy bills? It can even be an older ROM as long as it's stable.

Perhaps I should rephrase: what is the most stable mature ROM out for the DX right now, even if it is an older ROM?

My wife and I both really liked MIUI DefX and neither one of us had any problems.

Does all the hardware work with MIUI? Flash, camera, camcorder, etc? What about theming (my wife loves flowery pink crap all over her phone)? Have you experienced any app crashes on it? Flashing MIUI is different than flashing a typical gingerbread-based ROM right?

Everything I needed from my phone, worked for me while on MIUI. There were a few force closes, nothing that overly annoyed me though. I never used stock apps for camera/camcorder, always third party. As for flashing it to MIUI, its not any more complicated than any other custom ROM. And with it, you can change everything from the boot animation, to the lock screen, to the icons and fonts. Very customizable.

I would suggest Pooka's CM7 ROM. Its fast, stable, great battery life and no bugs. Its older but it works great. Maybe you should SBF 605 and get back to stock first? Use titanium backup to back eveything up.

Just wondering nprevette420, if you have a "tethering and portable hotspot" menu item under the "Wireless & Networks" menu entry of settings.

I don't but am running that very same rom.
