Root Custom Kernel for 915 or flashing a 915 to Cricket?

Is either of these possible? Is anyone in development of a 915 kernel?

Just curous. I would buy this phone if I can get Gingerbread.
 
You're not getting Gingerbread, just as R910 owners aren't getting Gingerbread. The kernel I am developing will have an R915 version.
 
the only way your getting GB as a stock is new phone a place like metro that dosent give an 4g on/off clicker is not going to just updated you to GB they just say buy new phone
