Root Custom Keyboards

I'm using the Fresh ROM and like everything, but miss the keyboard from CM6. What I really liked was an extra line on top the keyboard with punctuation marks. Anyway I can set that up on the fresh rom? Or any other keyboard hacks you guys really like?

The keyboard on cm is the stock Android keyboard so I don't think so.

The droid x keyboard is really nice, probably my fave

I use this one. It's the stock FROYO keyboard.

Im pretty good with graphic design and photoshop and was wondering if there was a way I could create a theme. For example certain sizes of things and how to put it together for install. If anyone has any tips let me know that would be great. Hope to put together a nice theme for you guys.
