Help Custom launchers

I'm looking to install go ex launcher I like it a lot. My only concern is battery life. How much battery will it drain if I run it over htc sense. I'm on Gingerbread at the moment. Can I just close htc sense under running services? Thanks
 
You can't close Sense, but you would have to remove any widgets you have on the Sense homescreens as they still run in the background.

I've been running with Go Launcher for months and I've noticed no battery issues whatsoever.
