Custom Notification Tones

How do u add custom tones for notifications (i.e texts, apps like Facebook, etc.)? Everytime I adda tone it gets lumped in with ringtones. Please help!

Pls check the individual apps for Notification setting...not all apps help you to change the tone.

They need to go into a folder labeled notifications.
