Same thing for me. I've now tried it about 2-3 times and the same thing keeps happening. I've been following the directions from this thread and from Tablet-Crunch: LG Optimus T - Rooting, Recovery, ROM Installation, and Overclocking as well as the video linked to it and I get nothing.

Also, I dont have a LG splash. When starting up the LG logo shows up and then I get the T-mobile jingle. I have to put in all my info again and then all my downloaded apps are gone and all my settings reset, the only difference is that now theres an app called SuperUser.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Pls and Thank you!

are you rooted? type su in terminal before you type anything else. If you see ' access denied,' then you need to root the phone first before you can monkey around.

i downloaded rocovery flash and flash_image files put them in my android folder cause i hooked up phone with usb but when i type in the second line to the terminal emulator it says the file flash image doesnt exist whats wrong?! so i typed this exactly
$ su
# mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /data/local/bin/system
(this comes up) usage: mount [-r] [-w] [-o options] [-t type] device directory
# cat /sdcard/flash_image > /system/bin/flash_image
(this comes up) /sdcard/flash_image: no such file or directory

WHAT THE HELL THIS IS FRUSTRATING

Hi, It might work better if you put the files on the root of sd card. That just means not in a folder.
Also I got an error when doing it. Th error can be ignored and you go ahead anyway and it works. Hope it works out four you.

the screen now says Android system recovery <3e>
Android system recovery utility
reboot system now
apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition

formatting DATA: ...
formatting CACHE: ...

works up and down with volume but menu button doesnt click and its not the same screen as the one shown????
HELP PLEASE

Hi Flangerboy.
If your phone is rooted and boots the easiest way would be to install clockwork mod and then flash a custom recovery.

If it will not boot then your only option is to boot into the recovery you have and reload the firmware through kdz.
Kdz may report errors but if you leave go all the way through it should work anyway.

By the way what are you trying to do?:)
