Help Custom ringtone with stock alarm?

I have noticed after 2.2 update that with the stock alarm you can't use custom ringtones, just the stock sense ones. Anybody else figure out how to fix this without using an alarm from the market?

And if not, what alarm from the market are people using that is reliable and uses any of your custom ringtones?

I was never able to use anything other than ringtones in the stock alarm app.

That's why I picked up "Rings Extended" in the market. That lets you use any song on the phone as any alert sound.

I still don't like the stock alarm tho, because there's no option to fade the song in, so I installed Alarm Clock Plus V2 this past weekend.

i got this from MaximumPC magazine

plug phone into PC in HDD mode
add floder "Alarms" to the root of ur SD card
add MP3 to alarms folder

i have only been able to ge the phone to see 1 mp3 at a time but it does show up in the HTC alarm list
