Custom Ringtones and Notifications

Hello... I just recently switched from the droid x to the samsung note. Everything switched over with my SD card perfectly. Yesterday I noticed that my txts notification song was not playing. Then I noticed that it started whistling at me which happens to be the default factory sound for txts. Then I attempted to switch it back and noticed that all of my downloaded songs in the ringtones and notifications weren't working. I went to my music player and all my songs were duplicated. However, only one of every duplicated song would actually play. Any suggestions on how I can get my phone back to normal and have my custom ringtones and notificaations work correctly again? HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!

I spoke to AT&T customer service who said they would reset my phone and to turn off and start back up and they tried txtg me and it was just a vibrate when I had picked one of my songs. No fix I was going to speak to technical support. BUut I am afraid they will tell me to factory reset my phone which I hate doing because I might loose my S-memo's that I have saved and need. Plus all of my apps too....

Welcome to the forums, hopefully i can be of some assistance to you and your problem.

I would suggest deleting all of your music and such and just reloading it onto your phone, I am surprised even some of it is working. Hopefully you can get them all back, because it seems like the most painless way to solving this problem.

If this solution doesn't suit your needs you could either post this under your specific subforum fro your phone or post it here: Android Lounge - Android Forums

More people will see it and offer more solutions!
