Root custom ringtones are back!

i'll admit, i'm a ringtone whore lol. i love being able to set custom ringtones for my friends/family and whatnot. as we all know, that wasn't possible for contacts stored via google. i guess 2.2 enabled it so that we can now set custom ringtones for contacts stored via google as well!

now if you'll excuse me, i gotta browse through my list of contacts and deem who's important enough for a custom ringtone

once upon a time, i used to set custom text ringtones also.. hey, android's all about customization right? gotta take advantage of all aspects hehe

Yes it took out the extra step of having to make your favorite people a "phone" contact too, to be able to set custome ringtones for favorites. I too like to set custom RT and now it is easier!
