Help Custom ROM Builder?

Does anyone happen to know where I can go to get a custom ROM built for my tablet? I have a DigiLand DL1010Q, which is currently running 4.4.2. Not only is the model discontinued, but the devs stopped sending OS updates for quite a while now. I did some research, and found out it's capable of supporting at max 5.1. I also did some online searching and found several websites containing downloadable custom ROMs for Android. But I don't know (or think, for that matter) if any of those custom ROMs will even work, which is why I'd rather have a ROM custom rom specifically built for my system.

Unless they were built for your device *none* of them will work. A ROM must always be built for the specific device.

Custom ROMs are a hobby thing, rather than something that people build to order, and in any case the developer will need the same device. So you need to either find one that someone has already made, or learn to do it yourself (if you go to XDA and ask someone to build a ROM for you that is what they will say). In any case there is enough work involved in building one from scratch that it would certainly be cheaper to buy a new device than pay someone to build a ROM just for you.

The OP is asking for a ROM based on a newer OS version than is available for their device, not tweaking the ROM they have, so I don't think that will help.

Correct. At least maybe he can make a modified 4.4.2. Then he can post it and share it with the world. Eventually becoming the world's foremost expert on DodgiLand? devices.
