Custom ROM Galaxy S3 on GoPhone

I could not find any threads with info:

Can I use a Galaxy S3 with a custom ROM on the GoPhone service? Would you recommend it, or should I stick with a stock AT&T S3? Seems like the stock AT&T ROM is so integrated and expansive, I would not like to lose any of that functionality, yet also would like a slimmer faster custom ROM experience if it does not diminish the phone features.
I have a HTC 3D with a custom ROM (i like the improvements over stock such as better battery monitor and camera selection front/back, but it is not 100% stable, there are some weird glitches) that I need to replace soon, running on Mobi PCS (a regional carrier here on Maui), and the calling area is terrible. I know AT&T has much better coverage here, and the $60 price point is awesome (and I hear one can buy 10% discount service online? where?!?!?) Any info would be appreciated !

After doing a little reading, I decided to stay stock. I need a phone that is rock solid and bug free, so I will have to sacrifice the coolness of having a custom ROM for stock, but I will no doubt complain about the bloatware. I am amazed at the ingenuity and creativity of the custom ROM developers, their products are phenomenal, but I only have 1 phone (no home phone), so this device must be reliable.

Which bring up a new question which I shall ask in a new thread: What is the best way to have a backup plan in case of phone death or loss?

Many custom roms are rock solid reliable, however its generally a trial and error as to which is the one that is for you.
