Root Custom ROM Reviews Wanted

jabbawest

Android Enthusiast
I have been ROM shopping for my LG Optimus M and have read most of the threads for each of them but I believe everyone would benefit from a dedicated review thread.
I'm brand loyal in almost everything I own so, once I find a stable ROM, I probably won't be switching just for the sake of switching.
So, whether you've just installed your first ROM or can't remember how many you've tried, your review would be greatly appreciated by all.
Feel free to Include some info about FC's, if your apps played well with it, perceived speed vs other ROMS and any other details you feel are important.

To maintain uniformity and a clean looking thread, please copy and paste the review form into your ROM review.
Included in the form are 5 smilies, remove as many as you like but please don't add more than five.
(ATTN AF MODS) Feel free to edit this post or the thread as you see fit.

Thank you and I hope this helps the AF community!

ROM:
Rom Zero 2.2 Final -- I don't have time to provide links now.

PROS:
Overclock Ready
No Bloatware
Stable

CONS:
Video is sometimes wonky
Cannot play some MMS messages

(optional)
COMPARISONS to OTHER ROMS including Stock:
Better than stock; stock is slow and jerky
Better than other ROMs, unless aesthetics is more important to you than performance.

ROM MANAGER App?? Yes or No:
No

SUMMARY:

If a 2.2.1 ROM can be overclocked, I would switch so I can use the videos. The older version of ROM Zero was better for videos, but had other problems. Though, everyone else was having video problems on the first one and this one is fine for them, so IDK. Whatever the case, the stock rom sucks ass and this is what I use.

ROM: joneidy's Sense ROM updated
https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B8qtdyT4OD_XZGUwNjRmMzUtOGRhMy00ZDcyLWI2MjMtNjBiMGM2ODI4NDEw&hl=en

PROS: Fast, very responsive, uber stable, battery friendly and loaded with the essentials, including Quick Boot for accessing custom recovery.
Did I mention its battery friendly?

CONS: Nothing at all.

(optional)
COMPARISONS to OTHER ROMS including Stock: Light ROMS above stock.
The only comparison to another custom I have flashed is the CM7 for the Huawei Ascend and joneidy's Sense ROM is far better.

ROM MANAGER App?? Yes or No: NO
(If yes, details would be nice)

SUMMARY: This is my first ROM on this phone and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stock replacement, especially if you need a minimal adjustment period.
Hell, look at the thread for this ROM, there are very few if any WTF's.
It just works, plain and simple.

UMMM maybe a stupid question but is custom recovery the same as a rom
Not a stupid question.
No, a ROM is the phones operating system, much like windows on a PC. Custom recovery is kinda like a safe mode for the phone where you can back up your phones operating system and or flash custom ROMS.
