Root Custom Roms sync issues, performance question

Hey everyone, first of all a big thanks is due to the devs and all the people thats experience with this phone have helped everyone and I tweak this phone and get this deep into it, THANK YOU!!! Okay 2 things-Ive been rocking Liquid for awhile, had changed a few days ago and decided to change back, now im having Sync issues w gmail etc.. My phone is telling me its synced, bo red sync symbols, all green but i go say refresh my email and I've missed emails from earlier in the day,, im wondering whats the issue here and how to fix it, also im noticing performance issues w the new roms im flashing, liquid, aicp, and carbon,... Is it possible to flash too much and cause that bc im not tweaking it in ways i dont understand or extremely.. I have CWM recover and these are my steps, wipe cache, dakvik, factory reset, format system, format data, install rom, gapps, wipe cache, dalvik, reboot... Thanks for the help!

Use twrp dose better job
 
thats what i had before Cwm, i think i will switch back and give it another try, good idea, thanks!

Its synced I had that issue too nothing to worry about
