Is it possible to set a custom tone for text only?

I have a contact that I would like to use a special notification tone for but just for text messages.

I see where I can set a custom ringtone but not a custom text tone.

Not with the stock app.

you can with Handcent sms. When you have a text from a contact, go to the top and press on the gear symbol. You then can change notifications for that specific contact.

I use handcent already and through trial and error I did figure out how to do what I wanted to do.
