Custom text tones for contacts?

Is there a way to have a different tone for each contact on the stock android or with sense? I had a dumbphone back in the day that could do that, but my current lg versa doesn't and I have always wanted it. This is my first dive into android so I don't really know what comes stock and what doesn't.

I did a few google searches and found that I might need an app called Ringo. Has anyone used this and had good/bad luck with it? Does handcent let you do custom tones?

Sorry for so many questions, but I would really love this feature on this awesome phone!

I have the Eris, getting the Incredible soon.. I use handcent, it is a much better text app than the stock one. And thru it, yes you can customize every single person to a different tone if you would like.

Awesome thanks! I hope I like handcent then, I was just planning on using the stock messenger.
