Customise predictive text?

On my previous phone, a Samsung S10, after a while of using it remembered my bank sort code when writing a text/email and offered it as a suggested text.

On my current phone, a Google Pixel 8 running the Gboard keyboard it hasn't done this.

Is there any way to customise the list of words used for predictive text as it would be dead handy if I could get this feature back?

Yeah add to your personal dictionary in the Gboard settings.

Thanks. Yes, this works for words (i.e. letters), but doesn't seem to work for numerical entries, such as a bank-code 😒

You could create a note with the numeric code and copy/paste into your text/email. Not what you are after but might be easier than repeat typing the information.

Not sure it would, but my problem is solved by pinning the numeric values to the clipboard and then I can recall them when needed!
