Customizable SMS Apps

I've been using Go SMS for a few years. The main feature I liked was the private box and its deep customizability and I paid for these features. Recently, they decided to remove most of the customizability of this app, removing my main reason for continuing to use this particular SMS app. I am now looking for another SMS app that is faster and has a lot of flexibility for customization. (And by customization, I don't simply mean pre-made downloadable or purchasable the themes.)

Try yaata. Tons of features and customizations. Think it's still in beta, so you have to find it in the xda thread.

What exactly did they remove from the app? I thought the same thing after upgrading to 6.xx and actually removed it for months. However after I reinstalled it I noticed almost all of the customization is still there just located elsewhere.

The features I mist have are customized notifications for each individual contact from the audio, vibration, icon and the LED.

The private box is still there as well.
