Help Customize background or text color on phone call screen

Is there a way to customize the text or background colors on the phone call screen? I find it hard to read notifications such as "Dialing.." In this particular example, the text is white on a light background. I'd like to change one or the other to a different color

I'm rooted, running stock. I realize I may need to flash a new ROM.

there are different phone dialers in the play store that might be worth a look if stock dialer is not to your liking

The Dirty Unicorns dialer is a white background with black text.. Very easy to see and use.
