Help Customizing the lock screen on the M8

How can I customize the information being displayed on the "main" lockscreen? I know I can add widgets on different lockscreen panels, but I want to modify the main oneyou see after waking the device.
 
don't think you can... I've tried too :-( would have to use widget locker app or similar
 
If you are talking about the icons you see at the bottom, you need to unlock the phone then at your home screen you can place whatever apps you would like there. Unfortunately you can't set up different apps for you lock screen. Silly in my opinion. It's like HTC hasn't even played with touch whiz at all. There are some really nice features in touch whiz that sense needs to adopt. One off the top on my head would be if you are sending a message and you want to call them instead all you have to do is bring the phone up to your ear and it instantly calls that person. That is one of the many features I miss about touch whiz. Also you can set up different apps on your lock screen as well.
