Customs icons HERO

I`ve had a search can`t find exactly what i need
basically just want to know if its possible to change the standard icons on my hero(which i think it is), but without rooting of course??

The is, but you have to pay to do it. The only way I know of doing it without fuss is a program called "BetterCut" costs about $3

Maybe this is not what you are looking for but...

I was able to use abc Organizer Lite to get a lot done. You can group stuff together with a label, then have the label appear on the your homepage. It's free and makes it possible for me to do this as I live in Belgium and can't acquire any paid apps like bettercut.

If I could, I would probably buy bettercut but Google's gotta get it's act together.

I use Apps Organizer which is free. Group everything together with as many lables as you want then you can customize each lable with your own icon. Its great, leaves more room on home screen for widgets and also looks cool as you have your own icons.

see my main thing i wanted to do was change the standard icons i use to turn on/off my wifi,bluetooth,gps,3g, i don`t want the icons to take me into the app just turn on/off the connection, so the icon will need a kind of switch/light to say whether or not the connection is active, hope this makes sense

and the guy from belgium i feel sorry for you mate , wish google would get their act together and give more people access to paid apps,the more people avaliable to buy apps,the more that will be made

I think the only way to go is for a Home replacement tool. PandaHome or something like that. Personally I'm pretty happy with the standard widgets, loving the green and black combo.

And thank you for you compasion. I'm only sorry Google is not going to make a dent into the whole Itunes App world as long as it doesn't get its act together. I really wanted to get a decent camera app and am willing to pay.

Unfortunately, I'm impatient and I do know something about IT and the interwebz...

The standard HTC widgets do just that, add a HTC widget, settings and there are widgets for wifi, bluetooth, gps, airplane mode and mobile network, which just toggle the setting on / off, lighting up green when on.

hello major and daveybaby, yeah I know about those I already have them on my home screen but I want to change these icons to some I have designed myself, so same function just different look, don`t really want to install panda home or anything as I`m happy with everything else just want to make them look how I want them to look.

if their is no option for this, does anybody know if its possible to get a copy of the apps , and just go into the APK and change the icon myself inside the actual program,I know a bit about programming(learning at the moment )want to make some kick ass apps to help android show the fruit fanbois who the real king is
