Does anyone know if the "VOL down + power to get into factory restore, then power, power, to get into CWM" work to get into CWM?

I want to test a port CM9 I have, but want to make sure I can get back into CWM if I f**ked up the porting.

if you get stuck do a battery pull. while reinserting battery hold power and volume down. it will get you back to a hard factory rest which will take you to cwm. id flash bootloop zip first also. I know this works as I've had to do this after testing something.

Thx. I think my issue before with the bricked phone was that nothing was installed, so there was no OS to boot. I'll have to make sure something installs. Of course, since I've bricked 2 times now, I'm hesitant to test. If you want to test this port, let me know and I'll upload it.

your post doesn't make me feel very confident about testing mr.b lol. id upload it but make sure you have a huge disclaimer with it

lol nah, it's this damn phone. I just can't get used to the ability to completely wipe the thing blank and never recover it... the Motos don't have the problem because of the locked bootloader; there's always a way to get back to the stock recovery.

I updated the update script to install and wipe the correct partitions, but after bricking twice, I'm hesitant. I'll test it real quick... if it flashes crazy fast, I'll know it didn't do it right.

Yea, I think I'm going to flash it here in a bit and see what happens. if nothing else, I'll go buy a new phone if I brick it again.
