CWM manager should be used with CF-root v5.0 or newer

Don't use cwm manager, just use cwm recovery.
Either that or install siyah or neak.

your new ROM will almost certainly be in a .zip file format, so install it via cwm recovery also.

can i guide me through step by step.. plss.. im totally new.. what should i do now..

Model number : GT-I9100G
Android version : 2.3.6
Baseband version : I9100GDZKJ2
Kernel version : 2.6.35.7-g4f27b76-dirty-Lucifr-1.5uv root@hanny-laptop#1
Build number : GINGERBREAD.DZKJ2

and i couldnt send sms anymore... it gives error... what should i do now?

Unfortunately, as you are a, "G", variant, you will not be able to use the Siyah or NEAK kernels.

However, you can still flash ROM's if you have CWM Recovery. Just copy and paste the ROM .zip file onto your SD card. Turn your phone off and then hold the Volume UP + HOME and then the POWER all together until the phone starts in Recovery mode.

Follow the instructions/video in this post:-

http://androidforums.com/3791246-post1.html

but do NOT use CheckROM v6 as it is not compatible with the "G", model. There are a number of "G" ROM's suitable for you in this thread:-

You can just flash another "G" kernel over the top of the one you have by repeating the process you have already used. Although the kernel you have, Lucifr, looks OK and I would stick with it for awhile.

Hope this helps.

oh my god, im waiting for ur reply until im almost choked to death @@ THANKS A LOT.. i really do appreciated. by what u mean repeating the process i have already used.. i used the odin method, so should i use taht again?

Oh, right. No, you can flash the new kernel .zip file, using the manual CWM Recovery option described in my last post. If you flash an un-rooted, (secure), kernel... you will of course lose root.

and.. it is possible to unroot my phone with this kernel? i heard that i should backup everything now.. how am i suppose to do that..

much appreciated <3 <3...

You should install Titanium Backup from the Play Store and back-up your app's, settings and data as well as doing a "nandroid" backup.

See item #2 in the first post I referred you to for details on back-up's.

thanks a hell lot bro.. will update the situation with u sooner or later.. sry for bugging u.. its my precious phone, im from malaysia and i work it hard to buy it myself..

... aiks... then i have to go through the odin thingy again? man.. but i have the cmw in my app drawer...

In that case you should be rooted! I do not own a "G" variant, so I cannot say if Root Checker is giving you a false positive or not. Can you download and install Titanium Back-up and run it?

i can download,install.. but not using it.. it says i do not have root privileges, this application will not work, please verify that your rom is rooted and includes busyBox...

i think this kernel is not working perhaps... or shall i try another kernel.. if its the case.. how should i do it.. by the odin method or..?

help me pls..

download,installed and opened.. it says...

BusyBox Installer was not allowed root access!

This may be and issue with Superuser, open superuser and make sure that you are allowing us root acess."

any idea?.... ><

okay.. will try now.. but how? using the odin method?

1) The superatmos kernel links shows that( the download link provided ) is XXLA1,JPKK1, and DZKL3.. but mine is DZKJ2.. so which one do i install...

2) im really sry.. i know im suck..

Try DZKL3.

"How to flash:
Download the attachment.
Flash using Odin."

Just a suggestion... slow down and read things carefully.

My motto is... "Flash in haste... repent at leisure"

If, for any reason, the above kernel does not work... go back and re-flash Lucifr again, after carefully re=reading the instructions. ;)

im sry larh... i did it.. it says pass again... but this time settings>about phone> kernel version is 2.6.35.7 se.infra@SEI-43 #2 .. which is original.. @@ i think im giving up.
