An interesting article has come out...CM and the Team have been funded...I mean really funded. To the tune of 7 million and things are about to change. And it seems to be changing for the better and the whole.

I read about this yesterday and was excited, but some people see it as a way of CyanogenMod trying to get money. I personally think it's a great step for CyanogenMod and can't wait to see what happens from here!

Yeah I had read it earlier and didn't know how many of the people here may or may not venture outside of this site so I posted it here.

If they make a paid app they deserve it and I'm sure it'll be well received. I'm sure there will be a balance between what they do commercially and what they still do within the dev community. Almost every source built rom, if not every one has CM code. So I'm happy for them.

Seeing as how many of the improvments and refinements that the cyanogenmod team have brought to android and have been adapted by google, I think google should just put these guys on the pay roll. There could be a CM main branch for google android and a CM user branch for ports.
