Cyanogen for Galaxy request

I'd like to kindly ask cyanogen to release his awesome ROM for those of us using the Samsung Galaxy aswell. I am willing to help as much as I can - I have the phone and intermediate programming knowledge, however I haven't developed anything for Android yet (I did a lot of stuff in Java though).

I suggest that someone offer Cyanogen a Galaxy phone for his use ... to develop with ... that will be the best support you could possibly give ...

any updates on cyanogen on samsung? the current firmware is sluggish and sucks generally :-/
